The band described itself as an instrument oriented band that is based on a lyrical theme of self search and longing
The second full LP, Paean, certainly delivers on those themes. There's plenty to admire here, and a level of musicianship that is both confident and uncompromising.
It is an experiment in cinematic folk rock, featuring 12 tracks, half of which are over six minutes long. At times it felt as as if it was the soundtrack to a Japanese RPG, which is never a bad thing.

'Sing' is a definite highlight, but it's 'Sukoon' that wins over the listeners attention with beautiful Arabic lyrics delivered with tenderness. The album would have certainly benefited from more of the same.
The vocals throughout the album is sparse but evocative, and even in the bigger rock numbers, it still manages to sustain its presence. But the hero is the instrumental music here, and as much as it is well crafted, produced and performed, it lacked enough variety to justify its long running time.
